NISMO India entry soon

NISMO (Nissan Motorsport International Limited) is considering to enter India soon as Motorsport have started to see increased visibility in the country. Nissan only have one sports car in India the 370Z the NISMP kits are for Nissan Sports cars so expect that Nissan will also launch the GT-R and the 370Z Roadster in India it will be may showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo in January 2012. Toyota is also entering Motorsport in India with the TRD ( Toyota Racing Development) and also Renault India is thinking about to launch Motorsport in India , Honda is also selling Mugan parts but don't has officialy entered the Indian market so it is a Right time for entering NISMO in India.  NISMO India will compare with the BMW's M and Mercedes AMG.

So, probably motorsports activity is going to be more popular. A process has started with the involvement of all kinds of regions and motorsports agencies not only in Japan, but globally. So, I guess India will come up in that kind of process. How can NISMO enter into motorsports activity with partnership in India? That is something we should consider first and after that we should consider a NISMO version (of sport cars) and NISMO parts,” Shoichi Miyatani, President, NISMO, said.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you will be aware of the trio (Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May) visit to India to shoot this years Top Gear Christmas Special. Every year the British Motoring Show has a winter special and this year the BBC wanted it to happen in India, to promote trade in the country. Fans became crazy when they spotted the presenters at some even had a chance to meet them and get snapped with them. Now Top Gear has released the date when the India Special will air and it is slightly more than three weeks away – the 28th of December, 2011. Toyota to bring Lexus in India!!

Toyota India have officially announced to enter the Indian market by the end-2012 or early 2013. Lexus will set up exclusive dealers and will be not sell via Toyota dealers said executive vice-president Yukitoshi Funo monday morning, now the working on the enter proces, products, sales network etc. he said. Lexus will competition with the German  Audi, BMW, Mercedes. what we can expect from Lexus is that they bringing the entire range the LS( A8,7 Series, S-Class),  GS (A6, 5 Series, E-Class, XF), RX ( Q5, X3, XC60),  LX ( Q7, X5, M-Class, Landcruiser), IS ( A4,3-Series, C-Class, Passat), CT200( A3, B-Class, X1)
this is what we can expect from Lexus in India  and the compitators. the Lexus brand was first launched in the USA 22 years ago in 1989 and later in Europe  and than 2 years ago in Japan.

The cars will come as CBU ( Complete Build Unit) to India  but Toyota promises aggresive prices, Toyota want first know the market and than the will looking if the can set up a assembling line  for IS, CT200, GS, but as for now expect prices from 25 Lakhs  and up to above 1 Crore , Lexus India will be focused on Hybride engines. stay stuned for more updates

Toyota GT 86 Coupé unveiled!

After many  FT-86 concepts Toyota has officially unveiled the Toyota (renamed as GT 86 Coupé) GT 86 Coupé. the FT 86 will get a 2.0 boxer engine with direct injection  the car will have 200 horsepower and 205 NM and will have 6 gearbox manual and automatic gearbox. in height the car is 4,24 meters long and just 1,29 meters high , it will also have a ABS and VSC .

Toyota promises a very low mileage it has also a low weight which helps the GT-86 for a low mileage to. the prices are not revealed but for the USA it will priced around 20.000 Dollars  and in the UK it will priced 27.500 Pounds, plans for India?? Toyota India has officially confirmed to launch the luxury brand Lexus in India  and Toyota should can launch this in India  and can compare with the Nissan 370Z that car is very high priced in the Indian market 54 Lakhs starting price! and is priced  just 15 Lakhs in the international markets if Toyota will launch the GT-86 Coupé in India they need to price it not more than 20-30 Lakhs rupee , more updates will coming soon.

BMW is launching the Mini Brand next year , all details here!

BMW is doing great in India they will launch the 3 Series Convertible next month  and the all new 3 Series will launch next year along with the Mini Brand  Mini will have apart dealerships  and will launching first three Models : Mini cooper hatch, Mini cooper Convertible, Mini Countryman and later the othermodels. Mini will start set up first two dealerships in Delhi and following by Mumbai  and later by Chennai, Chandigarh,Pune, Bangalore.  at the Delhi Auto Expo Mini will show his entire range: Mini cooper hatch, Countryman, Clubman, Convertible, Coupé, Roadster  and  hope that  Mini will also show the John works range.

 Mini will come as CBU (Complete Build Unit) it will focus on Brand building and at the later stage Mini will start assembling  cars in India the prices are expected to start around 20 Lakhs. the John Works range will launch later and will be priced much higher than the base versions but for sure they will many peoples buy a Mini Cooper because Mini has a name in the world and Mini have lots of fans in India.

Official - Toyota confirms Fortuner/Innova Facelift January Launch

Toyota India has officialy confirmed to launch the the Innova/Fortuner Facelifts in January 2012

the launch could be happen at the Delhi Auto Expo the prices are likely unchanged  and the Fortuner will get a automatic transmission and also a 4x2 variant which will be priced below the 18 Lakhs to give boost sales  the Fortuner sales a monthly average of 1000 Units and is the market leader in his segment  for the Innova the prices are likely unchanged and Innova will get only a Facelift not a new engine or variant the Innova sales current 4000-4500 units average and they hope with the Facelift to give boost sales to 5000 a month for the Fortuner hopes that they will boost up from the current 1000 units a month to 1500 units a month with the 4x2

                                        

2013 Fiat Linea to launch at the Detroit Motorshow!!

Fiat Linea has been since 2007 and cames to India in 2009 it was a very succesfull car in the international markets when it was launched in India it was also a succesfull model due Fiat India don't have alone stands and don't launched any new model since June 2009!! Fiat India are now have very low sales from both models the Punto&Linea  but good the Linea don't received any facelift or updates  in his live recent a render has leaked from a European Magazine.

the all new Linea will be unveiled at the Detroit Motorshow in January 2012 and could come to India in 2013.

Audi unveils the A1 Sportback will it come to India?

in 2010 Audi launched the three door version in the global markets  and now finally Audi has unveiled the 5 doors A1 the A1 Sportback.  Audi start sales in early 2012  the cars is 4 meters long, it will available in three TFSI versions  and three TDI Diesels engines and producing 63 kw (86hp) and 136 kw (185hp).  the A1 Sportback features with high end media Center MMI Navigation with bluetooth, online car phone  and it can also be connected with Internet.

  base engine are 1.2 TFSI and give a mileage of 5.1 liters per 100 km the other two 1.4 TFSI engines produces 122 hp and 185 hp it reaches from 0 -100 km/h in 7 seconds and has a topspeed of 227 km/h

will it come to India? it will priced around 11 Lakhs in the international markets  and if it launched in India it will priced around 22-25 Lakhs that is too overpriced for a car that is just four meters  for sure Audi will showcasing the A1 at the Delhi Expo in January 2012 but also the India- EU FTA  will be likely signed and that means that Cars are imported from the Eu union will be slashed by 40% that means the duty from the current around 100% will bring down to 60% and that is also in prices so the cars will be 40% cheaper well, if the A1 is priced 25 Lakhs than it will cost after EU FTA 15 Lakhs.  so hope that the EU FTA so fast as it can will signed and that cars will become lot cheaper!!

BMW India launching the 3 Series Convertible next month!!

BMW India has launched yesterday the BMW premium pre-owned selection  and Indianautosblog has reported that Andreas Schaaf has planned to launch the 2+2 seater Convertible in December 2011 it was also earlier showcased at the BMW Xperience drive in October. but it was slated for Q1 2012 now BMW India is launching it much earlier

    BMW India is launching this as CBU (Complete Build Unit)  and will priced in the 45-60 Lakhs bracket.  the 3- Series Convertible will be also shown at the Delhi Auto Expo in Jan 2012  along with the Mini Brand and the new 3 -Series  and also BMW India revealed is that they will show a Surprise concept it might be the I8 or I3   Further  BMW India will focus on M (Motorsport) range cars to launch more M Models and will sell the M Range via more Dealerships and they have ambitious planning to sell 15000-20000 Cars in 2012.

Mahindra launches Scorpio Lx 4X4

                                                                                                                                                                          Mahindra India are now busy with the XUV500 but the current best selling car from Mahindra is the Scorpio they has recently launched the Basic variant of the Scorpio the Scorpio Lx 4x4 and is priced at 9.17 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). the engine is the same as the 4x2 it has the 2.2 liter mHawk it produces 120Bhp and have a power of 290NM of torque. and have a 5 Speed manual gearbox.

  the Features that are loaded in the Scorpio Lx 4x4 are: tilt-steering, power steering,central locking, digital immobilizer,power windows, tubeless tyres, rear spoiler, and roof rack  pity is they are no ABS and airbags on it. it can directly compare with Tata's Safari.

Jaguar Have plans to launch the Stationwagon version of the XF!

it is finally after years of speculation finally the Jaguar XF Sportbrake has spotted by Autoweek.nl  in UK  they are not many informations  but it could get a 2.2 Liter four cylinder Diesel what is good for a 200 Bhp and also 3.0 V6  Diesel will come to with 240 or 275 Bhp and by Petrol a 5.0 V8 with 385 Bhp with gives a 385Bhp power. as for now Jaguar has no plans for a XFR Sportbrake but it should come in the near future.

 It could be unveiled at the Genève Motorshow in March , will come to India?? well India is not a Stationwagon market but you can expect the XF Sportbrake in India as Brandbuilding at a price of around 60 Lakhs.

Not long time ago Kia was slated for India but later Hyundai has shelved the plan but now months later has Shrawan Raja (Indianautosblog)  spotted this apple green Kia Picanto in the Chennai traffic there are chance that has plans now to enter Indian market , but it can also that Kia is here for some global test for underpinnings of the next generation Hyundai I10 which shares same platfrom. the badges are covered and the car is LHD (Left Hand Drive)

Skoda India has officially confirmed to launch the Fabia Scout in India!!

                                                                                                                                                                 Skoda India has official confirmed to launch the Fabia Scout in India, few months ago it was also seen testing in India it is for peoples that wants a SUV like Hatchback it will priced in the 7-10 Lakhs range. Skoda is also planning to launch more variants of the Fabia in India.

the Fabia Scout gets a bigger bumper for SUV like, and plastic trims for the mudguards  and further the Fabia will sport a 1.6 Petrol/ Diesel engine  also a 1.5 Diesel engine are planned.

 it will be unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo in Jan 2012 and it could be launched by February-March 2012.

Chevrolet Sail Hatchback Spotted in India!!

Chevrolet is target high in the Indian market to launch more products after the succes of the Cruze and the Beat, now Chevrolet will launch the Sail Hatchback& Sedan in India it will unveiled at the Delhi auto Expo with the Sedan, Facelifted Captiva and may the Orlando  the Hatchback will priced around 4-6 Lakhs and the Sedan in the 6-8 Lakhs bracket  the Sail will rival the cars like MS Swift, Fiat Punto, Honda Jazz and the Volkswagen Polo. the Sail are likely sporting a  1.3 Multijet Diesel engine  which we already have seen in many hatches.

  

                            

                     the features that are expect are ABS, Airbags on the Top-end variant  and other features that will be offered are Power Windows, central locking, air-conditioning, fabric seat covers etc. the Sail is developed by GM China  and was launched in China  about a year ago  it is a huge succes in the Chinese market so can we Indians expect the Same?? the start price of the base variant are 4-4.5 Lakhs                         so stay stuned for more updates
